Musings

I've recently returned from a truly lovely beach. It was very relaxing. I read 4 books in 8 days.
Quite a feat for me. While away I seldom thought of my workplace. Funny, now that I am
working again I think of that beach or any beach most of the time. Nothing like putting one's toes in the warm sand to feel alive & fortunate. I found myself continually thanking my lucky stars
for the priviledge of my repast. Now at 50 weeks & counting, I don't think I will feel relaxed
for a very long time. The workplace is frought w/challenges--time management, correct
processes, personal dynamics. I hope for patience and tolerance for the ensuing weeks.
Also I hope to be able to keep up w/ all the new tasks & experiences coming my way.
I really don't want to be left behind unless it is on a warm, sunny beach many miles from here.

What keeps you going during the times of work (both favorable & trying) while you are building
up more time to rest and/or recharge?

Yoga and long walks with doggie, visits with friends, which may just be "visits" via phone or email (and maybe blogging in future?) Twitter is just to minimal for visits, more useful for quick informal information gathering....

Knowing the trip fund is not depleted. Also guessing the next
island could be THE ONE. That is my favorite, the only one I'll
consider visiting in the future.
Of course that is so long as the
economy doesn't get any worse & my mate remains employed.
